Our story

2001 : Together, Eve and Joël Gonzalez established Transports GLS, a family SME which puts proximity at the heart of its relationships with its clients and its colleagues.

In 2004, we became a member of the Evolutrans association in order to work with professionals across France, to develop our experience and advance our field of action. We also joined the Volupal network for the transportation of 1 to 6 pallet batches, which gave us a new momentum.

In 2008, we took another huge step. GLS went into partnership with Transports LHERITIER in order to establish an affiliate in the Paris area. LGTidf came into being and enabled us to establish ourselves in this strategic hub. This is how the office based in Rungis (94 - Val-de-Marne) became an answer to our clients' needs.

At the end of 2011, a new affiliate was created in Midi-Pyrénées, at Lespinasse, LGT, in order to spread our influence even further. Thus, our agencies networking allows us to guarantee a real knowledge of the North-South trade to all our clients. Alongside this quick development, we cared about keeping our vision and our founding values. The company philosophy is simple:

  • wisely collaborating while keeping our DNA of family SME in order to easily and rapidly satisfy every need,
  • deserving our clients' trust thanks to a high level of requirement and commitment.

2015 was a new turning point and brought GLS to a new dimension. We extended our historic headquarters at Vayres: 10 new docking bays on 650 m2 of warehouse. Thanks to this enlargement, flows were better distributed and the general activity more efficient.

We also made the strategic choice of setting a new warehouse up in Cestas. This institution is a handover in the south of the urban area, allowing for example easier access to Les Landes and the Pays Basque regions, but also the South of Europe. For us, it also is a strategic position next to the greatest companies of the sector, which allows us to even more establish our reputation and our legitimacy as the only carrier in the area.
