Joël and Eve Gonzalez, who were the founders of the company, have passed the torch on to their 3 sons. Together, they managed to keep strong bases, while concentrating on inspirational development lines.
Their goal: to continue to establish strong and lasting partnerships with their clients, their partners and their colleagues.
In 2004, GLS joined the professional association Evolutrans. « We are working in collaboration with reliable professionals across the entire territory, and even throughout Europe. This is how we can offer a flexible and efficient service which combine know-how, capacity for adaptation and reactivity from the network's SMEs. »
The company has spread its network, and GLS now aims towards the international scale, providing the means to succeed:
Human resources - first by hiring, among others, an expert of the trade with Benelux,
Technical resources - extension of Vayres headquarters (4 000 m2 of transit warehouse 34 docking bays) to respond to the growth in activity and to give our teams the greatest ease of operating. At the same time, we have created a warehouse in the heart of the Zone du Pot au Pin, in Cestas, the main logistic hub of the region – becoming the only transportation provider in this area.
GLS, fortified by its network solutions (Volupal and Volulots), its 3 offices and 2 affiliates, has spread across the territory with more than 200 colleagues and very much hopes to establish itself as the first choice for the South-West region of France:
« We are already studying new avenues for development and are looking to the future. We nonetheless remain faithful to the family SME established 15 years ago by trying to make proximity and respect rhyme with growth. »
